My husband and I tied the knot at Walt Disney World in 2002, and together, we’re raising two amazing teenagers—plus a few backyard chickens!
Our journey to parenthood wasn’t easy due to my autoimmune disease, but that challenge led me to discover my passion for running as a way to manage stress. In June 2011, I set a goal to complete a 5K before turning 40. That goal quickly turned into a lifelong love—I’ve now run multiple 5Ks, several half marathons, 14 full marathons, and five runDisney Dopey Challenges! Of all the races I’ve done, runDisney events hold a special place in my heart.
Beyond running, I have a deep love for travel, whether solo or with my family. One of my most memorable trips was Oprah’s Girlfriends’ Getaway Cruise in January—a truly unforgettable experience.
In May 2015, I had the incredible honor of being selected by the Walt Disney Company from a highly competitive group of 1,300 social media moms to attend a prestigious conference. It was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I had worked hard to achieve, and the experience was nothing short of life-changing. I still reflect on it nearly every day!
Professionally, I wear many hats—I’m a freelance web developer, social media specialist, and an all-around creative problem solver. Life has given me the opportunity to be my own boss, and I’m embracing the adventure, constantly exploring new and exciting projects.
Nice to “meet” you! I have two more years before my 40th and ever since I started triathlons I have been eager to age up! HA. How crazy is a sport if it makes you wish you would hurry up and turn 40? 🙂
Crazy enough that I understand EXACTLY what you are taking about Kelly! LOL
