The DISNEY Collection By Jamberry Was Released Today!

If you all know me by now you should know there are a few things that I really do love. One is Disney and the other is my Jamberry wraps! Well now we have them both together officially because Jamberry now has a DISNEY Collection. 

The news was released last night by the company founders via their YouTube channel.

You can preview more of the designs as well on the Jamberry YouTube channel. 

I was so excited when I heard the news. I had to share with all of my Disney and runDisney loving friends!!!  

Some of the fantastic designs in this latest release include Ariel, Aurora and Minnie Mouse as seen below. But I have many more photos available on my Facebook Page, which I update often. Stop by and Like my page and take a look at many more samples of the great new designs!

Disney Dumbo Double Dare Is Upon Us!

Dumbo Double Dare weekend came up quick. My friends have been counting down to it but I haven’t been because it also signified the end of summer and back to school for the kids. 

I did finally start making my costume pieces and started packing this past weekend. I also found some fun accessories and makeup to use for my costumes and to wear in the parks for the Disneyland anniversary celebration.  

I usually like to travel with just one carrying bag so I dont have to go to baggage claim. But since I have costume pieces and scissors and a glue gun I decided it’s easier that way. I also want the space for bringing home lots of goodies from the 60th anniversary and I am hoping to score the Donald Duck New Balance sneakers for me and a friend!  

I happened upon this silver glitter eye shadow at Rite Aide from Wet and Wild. I love it!  It’ll be fun! 
I also love these custom Jamberry wraps which are now discontinued. 

 So once I get my kids on the bus I will head up to the airport and the adventure will begin.  Tomorrow night we are going to see the parade in Disneyland and Saturday we have reservations for dinner and to see the World of Color show. 

After going to Disneyland twice this year I will finally experience the parks!

Runner’s Holiday Gift Ideas

Yes it is just two days before Christmas, but if you are like me you may be behind on your shopping this year and need some last-minute ideas for someone!  Well I have a few ideas for you that you can click a few clicks on your mouse and print out a page or two and you will be covered for this Christmas!  I love getting new running gear.  I especially love getting it as a gift!  Here are a few great ideas for your runner in your life  Some items that I’d love to receive for Christmas or possibly something you’d like to give to your runners are:

Entry into a runDisney race.  You can give a non-Disney Gift card, like a pre-paid Visa or Mastercard for any monetary value and the runner can use that when registering for their runDisney race of choice.  Then for the Expo you can give your runner a Disney Gift card to use for the official runDisney merchandise, food during the racecation or even towards the hotel room.  If you shop with your red card at Target you can save 5% on the purchase of your Disney Gift Card, too!

An Airline gift certificate.  I’d love to get some free Southwest credit to use towards my races!

Entry into a virtual race or an actual race.  I was planning on going to the Jeff Galloway’s Inaugural 13.1 race in Atlanta this year, but due to some circumstances at home, I had to put that race on hold this year.  However, I can participate in the virtual race and will still receive my medal!  Click here for more details.

Jeff Galloway also offers race retreats.  Why not take a little retreat somewhere to relax AND run and learn with Jeff and Barbara Galloway?!

raceshrugI recently purchased a great new piece of clothing to add to my gear.  A fly shrug.  It was perfect for the Wine and Dine half marathon (race recap coming soon!).  It was a rainy race and I wasn’t sure how the weather was going to be in regards to temperature.  So this was perfect in case I needed to take it off to cool off.  I also used it for the Philadelphia marathon and again it was a perfect addition on a cold morning in addition to my short sleeve shirt and arm sleeves.

Fleece lined running tights are awesome for the winter.  I love mine!  I was lucky enough to find some at Target and at Kohls for a rather inexpensive price.

iTunes gift cards are a perfect stocking stuffer to add music to the runner’s playlists or to download special running apps.  You can purchase the gift card online, print it out or even email it to your runner recipient.

If you have time to get to a store, find your runner the Garmin 220 is amazing. I love mine! It is everything I needed for my first Garmin watch. Now that I am doing some treadmill training I do need to invest in the show pod to help me keep track of mileage while running indoors.

fitbitFitbit.  I don’t have one (yet).  I am hoping I get one for Christmas!  I want the FitBit One because I don’t want to wear a wristband all the time to keep track of my steps and activity.  Target and Kohls has these items, most stores sell them, actually.  So get out there and get one for your runner!  They will love it.  Runners enjoy stats and monitoring their progress.  You can use this in addition to your Garmin to see your total activity for a day, PLUS you can see how well you sleep at night, too!

Runners Box.  Don’t you love getting free stuff in the mail?!  Well you can (sort of).  If someone purchases a runners box subscription for you, you will receive a new box in the mail every few weeks with different runner items to try out.  The prices range between $21 – $30 for a bi-monthly to yearly subscription.  You can purchase a one time gift box or a yearly subscription. What a great idea!  The gift that keeps on giving!  I will be mentioning this to my husband today in case he needs any last-minute ideas.  Thank you to the Mickey Miles Podcast for mentioning it in their holiday gift guide pod cast (episode 225).

I Am Now A Jamberry Consultant!

I am now a member of the Jamberry Independent Consultants!  What does that mean?  It means you can purchase Jamberry nail wraps from me.  I can provide you the nail wraps from the catalog as well as custom nail wraps (more specifically, Disney nail wraps).

What are Jamberry Nail Shields? They are stick on nail art you can apply to your nails I get the color or design you want without the fuss of going to a nail salon or waiting for polish to dry. They come 20 wraps to a sheet and you can get multiple manicures and pedicures from one sheet. They are just $15 per sheet and there are over 300 designs to choose from. Not only can you purchase the designs already in the catalog but you can purchase custom nail wraps. I have several Disney nail wraps available to be used as enhancements to your Disney race costumes!

Dumbo Double Dare and Jamberry Wraps

Summer is quickly closing in on us.  The night time air is cooling down and the days are getting shorter.  Dumbo Double Dare is less than 20 days away!  I haven’t been posting as much on my blog lately because I have been living as much as I could outside of the computer world and trying to keep the #Epicsummer2014 going strong.

However, as Dumbo is now less than 20 days away I needed to get my act together to get my race costume together.  I came to hook up with Jamberry nails and am now hosting a party with a specific approach to the runDisney Dumbo Double Dare weeekend and the wraps that are available for that weekend.

What are Jamberry nails?  They are one of the newest trends in nail accessories.  They are vinyl nail wraps in hundreds of colors and designs to help make a manicure last as long as 2 weeks.

How does this relate to Dumbo Double Dare you ask?  Well let me tell you.  I don’t remember exactly how it came to be, but my consultant that I am working with to host my party showed me some Minnie Mouse ideas and I said wow, cute!  How about Dumbo?  Do you have anything with a Dumbo theme that I can use as an accessory to my race costume.  Well after some hunting around Jennifer Frank found me some Dumbo wraps.

Well I couldn’t keep this secret to myself.  I had to share it and enable all of my other runDisney freaks, I mean, friends to spend their money on things for their race costumes!

Jennifer also found Lilo and Stitch themed wraps to go along with the 10K theme of the weekend.

I haven’t tried them yet. I am waiting for my first order to come in, but I can’t wait. I heard many good things about the Jamberry wraps. What a brilliant idea. You can purchase pre-made designs or design your own with the online art studio.

I’d love to host future parties prior to the runDisney races to gather up more interest if the Jamberry wraps. Who knows, maybe I’ll become a consultant in my “free time”.
